How do I force a break every 45 minutes? Global eye-care rest cycle

Enable the global “use N minutes / rest M minutes” (commonly 45/10) on the Time Management page so the PC locks for a break periodically, combined with pre-lock reminders and a countdown.

The eye-care rest cycle adds a break rhythm during use: after N minutes of continuous use the PC locks for M minutes, then unlocks automatically. A common setting is “use 45 / rest 10”.

How do I force my child to rest 10 minutes every 45 minutes?

Tick the global eye-care break on the Time Management page and enter use 45 / rest 10. It applies to every slot at once — no per-slot setup needed. Steps below.

Setup steps

  1. 01

    Open Time Management

Settings → Time Management (after entering Setup mode with the parent password).

  2. 02

    Tick the global eye-care break

Tick Enable break and fill in “use every N minutes” and “rest for M minutes”, e.g. 45 and 10.

  3. 03

    Configure reminder and countdown

On the same page set the pre-lock/rest reminder (default 5 minutes) and the pre-lock countdown (default 30 seconds) so the child is prepared.

  4. 04

    Save and apply

Click Apply Now in the client; in the web console click Save and apply to device and wait one heartbeat.

How is it different from a normal lock?

  • Cycle rest lock: unlocks automatically when the rest duration ends — a protective pause.
  • Slot-end / quota-exhausted lock: waits for the next allowed slot, or needs a parent unlock or points redemption.
  • The lock screen shows the reason (e.g. “eye-care rest”) so the child understands why.

Will my child be warned before the break?

Yes. Set a pre-lock/rest reminder in minutes (default 5) and a pre-lock countdown (default 30s, range 5–300s). The countdown popup is not closable by default so the child must watch it through; tick “can be closed manually” if you want to allow closing.
